about

In the summer of 2013, around late June, early July, I composed this piece using Anvil Studio by Willow Software (1997 - 2016). It's an excellent program for those who like using music notation to write music with. It's pretty decent as a sequencer, but, other than tempo changes, some volume and panning, and the occasional pitch bending, I tend to not do too much sequencing on my compositions. For Egyptian drums, the focus was more on the percussion, of which I found an Arabian drum soundfont that I really liked and pieced together the rhythm with. After that, the flute and bass fell into place, and that pretty much comprises the whole piece.
